Claret Stat: John 'Johnny' Price made his debut for Burnley replacing injured Trevor Meredith, he scored his first goal a month later deputising for John Connelly. Johnnys way into the first team was blocked by class players, Connelly, Meredith and later Harris, Bellamy and Towers. He left Burnley at the end of 1964/65 and spent a long career in the north west playing over 200 games for Stockport County and over 50 for Blackburn Rovers.

At 5 foot 3, John Price was one of the Smallest players to appear in the top flight.
