Name: Jonathan Lund
Date of Birth : 1st November 1988 Previous Clubs: Leeds United, Grimsby Town, Burnley, Rotherham United (loan) Position: Goalkeeper Signed by Owen Coyle Burnley Fee: Free Agent
Burnley Stats: Didn't make an appearance for the first team, played in one reserve team game away to Liverpool, concealing a late free kick, as the reserves went down one goal to nil. In most clubs their are three goalkeepers, Burnley under Coyle only had Brian Jensen and Diego Penny, Coyle rectified this by offering Lund a one year deal, to stand in for Penny in reserve team games, which he had just once in his short time at Turf Moor. This deal was to be done about sx months eariler but a broken thumb halted the deal. With Owen Coyle gone, new manager Laws realised having a goalkeeper who is way down the pecking order for a first team shirt he allowed Lund to move and thus make his first ever transfer in football, he was released by Leeds and Grimsby, no manager has bought or signed Jonathan from another club until Ronnie Moore's Rotherham came knocking on Brian's door. Jonathan needs games to progress, and he wasn't going to make any inroads into Burnley's team, a month at Rotherham might just put Jon in the shop window and give his stuttering career a much needed boost. This much needed career boost, didn't take shape as Jon was injured shortly after transfer, making the Millers bench just once. Jon was released by Brian Laws at the end of the 2009/10.
