Claret Stat: Alex-Ray joined straight form Burnley's Centre of Excellence like "Scorer" he joined aged 9 years old. Alex-Ray is a tenacious left footed center mid, who has featured in the Lancashire County team.

Alex-Ray has featured in Burnley's reserve team which won the totesport.com west league in 2008/09.

After some decent preformances for Ashley Hoskin's development squad, Alex forced himself onto the first team bench, unfortunatly for Alex he never managed to make his debut.

In March Alex joined former Claret Micky Mellon when he went on loan to Fleetwood town, where he will be met by another scholer, Gareth Seddon who spent his youth with the Clarets centre of excellence.

While at Fleetwood Town, Alex-Ray helped guide the seaside team into the semi-finals of the Conference play-offs, he made six appearances for Fleetwood, including two starts.

The start of the 2011/12 season Alex-Ray was again on his travels, again joining Micky Mellon's Fleetwood Town on loan, on returning to Burnley Alex-Ray went straight bach into the development squad, where his performances alerted Barrow who made a bid to take Alex-Ray and teenager Joe Jackson on loan.

Alex-Ray returned to Burnley before the last game of the 2011/12 season, but with no contract offered to the midfielder, who everyone who has seen him play expected to see him fighting for a first team place at Burnley.

Alex-Ray has to be the unworkable puzzle, a player whom most Claret fans were expecting to break through. As a player he was the star in the making, his passing ability and tigerish midfield play, one game telivised live saw Burnley's reserve side travle to Tranmere's Prenton Park, to play Liverpool reserves,  where although beaten 0-1 with a last minute free kick, saw Alex-Ray out play there entire midfield which contained Jay Spearing who recentley had become a mainstay of the Scouse giants midfield.
