The final game of this exhausting Easter period was at Filbert Street where Burnley were taking on Leicester City for the 2nd time in 4 days.

Unfortunately in this one, Burnley seemed to be overcome by nerves and certainly in the first half couldn't do anything right.

Leicester actually went in at half time 2-0 up with goals from Wills and Cheeseborough.

After what must have been a good half time team talk Burnley started in the second half with a lot more confidence.

It was Meredith scoring his first goal of the season to put Burnley back in with a shout. Banks showed some of his greatness with a couple of fine saves helping to keep the scoreline at the final whistle of 2-1.Oooops two points lost, could the Clarets still able to win the League, only 4 games left now, 3 away and 1 at home.

The answer would be known very soon.

Programme Review.

Team changes to those printed in the programme were, Leicester in Norman,White,Riley, and Keyworth, out Chalmers, McLintock, McDonald and Leek.Burnley out Seith and Connelly, In Cummings and Meredith.

Leicester's programme was a 12 pager costing 4d. Content was not of great interest, just the usual managers notes, a player profile and pen pictures of the visiting side.
