Derek Adams is a Scottish footballer who is currently player-manager at Ross County. He is the son of youth supremo George Adams, who is the director of football at the Dingwall club.

Adams was signed by Jimmy Mullen but despite Adams top-scoring during Burnleys central league season with 12 goals, he only made two apearences as substitute for the first team.

Adams was made avalible for transfer at the end of 1996, where he joined Ross County on a free transfer.
