Burnley Caretaker Manager Feb 1996
Clive Middlemass was put in temporary charge for just three games after the now infamous 3:33 Protest. Jimmy Mullen who had Clive by his side for so many of the good times resigning leaving Burnley in a precarious position in the 2nd division.. Clive did himself no favours in his three games if he wanted the Burnley job ob a full time basis, a draw at home to York City(3-3) followed by two defeats Hull City (3-0) and Blackpool (1-0). Clive did however stay on for some time as assistant to new boss Adrian Heath, before Heath got his own man in to assist him former Everton Manager Colin Harvey. |
