4th Div Play off 1st Leg ,19th May 1991
Burnley Traveled to Devon for the first leg of the play offs .Torquay who finished one place below us in 7th and seven points adrift . Who's capacity just over 4.300 ,Which meant the Clarets travelling army was at meager 700. Torquay won the game 2-0 which meant the Clarets had a mountain to climb back at Turf Moor .

Back at the Turf as Torquay gave only 700 tickets for the travelling army of Clarets ,Which pushed Burnley to cash in by putting up a big screen ( 48sq metre Square ) ,To watch the action unfold live.

We won just! an own goal in the 90th minute was just not enough to send Burnley to wembley 13,620 were at Turf Moor for this game almost 5 Thousand less than the gate against Blackpool just 2 months earlier.
