Claret Stat: Brian Stock is a Welsh international footballer who became Eddie Howe fith signing of the 2012/13 season when he signed for Burnley in August 2012.Stock is a central midfielder and is known for his vision, awareness, and his play-making and passing ability, Just what the doctor ordered.
 
After starting his career at Bournemouth where manager Howe made his name, after making his first team bow against Colchester in January 2000, He went on to play  145 league games and scored 16 goals for the Cherries before signing initially on loan to Preston then a reported £125,000, in January 2006, lest than a year later Preston loaned him out to Doncaster Rovers with first team oppotunities at a premion signing for the Yorkshire club on 3rd January 2007 for £150,000.

At Doncaster, Stock started to realise his potential bieng instromental in the 2007/08 promotion season, he finished that season with the captains armband aftyer regular captain Adam Lockwood being injured, he even lead out the Yorkshire club at Wembley for the play off final against Leeds United.
 
During his time at Bournemouth, Preston and Doncaster, Brian Stock seemed to be anually linked to Burnley, but in 2012 after a summer of speculation Burnley finally signed the midfielder for an undisclosed fee.
 
Stock made his Burnley debut against Port Vale in the Capital One Cup (formally known as the League Cup), in a 3-1 win.
